COAR#13- The Resurrection Cross Country Team

Hey yall! This is the 13th edition of the Confessions of a Runner podcast.

Why and how did you start running? Where did your running roots come from?

On August 18th, 1997, I went to my first practice, and after about the first 15 minutes, I realized I was getting myself into a lot of hard work. For some reason though, I kept going.

Right now is my new running career. It’ll last much longer than my cross country seasons, but the first 4 years are my roots. It’s where I started, and it will always be remembered as to how I got started, as a member of the Resurrection Catholic School Cross Country team. (Hey Dan from 4 Feet Running, I realize my commas are out of whack!)

Be sure to download all four of Steve Runner’s episodes profiling the Boston Marathon in April. Visit http://www.steverunner.com/ for the info.

If you’d like to leave a comment you can on itunes.

COAR#11- I Wanna Go Fast- Part B

SHOWNOTES

Hey yall! This is the 11th edition of the Confessions of a Runner podcast.

Becoming a faster runner entails more than just running a series of fast sprints. In also includes staying well hydrated, eating the right foods, and stretching properly.

Specify why you are running each run. Have more of a reason for your workout than to just log more miles into your notebook. Pair being specific with being realistic. Realism allows you to stave off injury.

½ mile splits: 1) 3:34 2) 3:13 3) 3:31
